Hunter Business School is the leading educational, business and technical school on Long Island with campuses in Medford, NY and Levittown, NY.
The following opportunity is available:
• We are looking for an individual with a Medical Billing & Coding background with 2+ years healthcare experience and an interest in teaching to join our team. The Medical Billing & Coding Instructor is responsible for teaching courses described in the Billing & Coding program each cycle. This includes utilizing effective teaching tools such as audio/visual equipment and reference materials; preparing lesson plans and learning experiences; following an established course outline; managing a classroom of students; evaluating students through testing and other related means and reporting on and recording class and individual student progress.
Requirements:
2+ years of experience working within a healthcare setting. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required Knowledge of Google Docs and Sheets helpful but not required Knowledge of QuickBooks helpful but not required Knowledge of Medical Office procedures and EMR programs helpful but not required Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS Coding Knowledge of Anatomy and Physiology An ability to learn new methodologies and systems Excellent communication skills Teaching experience a plus

$55,000.00•$65,000.00 per year
