Yes Department Overview The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a General Obstetrics and Gynecology faculty provider at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. The faculty member is credentialed and privileged as an MD, with completion of an Ob/Gyn Residency, and independent surgical experience necessary to provide a full-scope practice. This position is a member of the OHSU Professional Staff practicing in accordance with the respective bylaws, and shall provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The faculty member is expected to comply with all laws, regulations, OHSU policy, and other applicable professional standards of practice. Required Qualifications Clinical Activities - Provide an outstanding level of clinical performance in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
Responsibilities include:
Participation in the development and delivery of the group clinical practice at the Center for Women's Health, and off-site OHSU Health Partners, including full spectrum obstetrics and gynecology. Maintaining a fair-share of obstetrics and gynecology call, some of which will require on-site presence at OHSU and/or off-site OHSU Health Partners. Scholarly Activities - Like all OHSU faculty members, this position is expected to have some scholarly activity; this may be limited to educating learners as outlined below, but may also include research, and other grant supported work or academic papers and presentations in disciplines related to their field of expertise. Faculty members are expected to participate in clinical research as needed, often with the help of trained research support staff and senior faculty principal investigators. Education - This position provides clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in Obstetrics and Gynecology rotations. The faculty member may also help with clinical teaching of nurse and APP trainees.
