Job Description

King's Home, a Christ centered ministry, has immediate opening for an Executive Director of Youth Program. This is a full time exempt position that participates in a rotating on-call status. The incumbent must maintain working knowledge of all licensing standards, operating policies and personnel policies as it relates to Department of Human Resources, Council on Accreditation and Alabama Medicaid. This position directs, evaluates and articulates a program of residential programs within the limits of function and policy established by the board. This role ensures a trauma informed approach is utilized at all levels in the residential facility. This role is responsible for communicating and reporting on the operation of the residential facility and the program to the Vice President of Operations and the Department of Human Resources in accordance with established Department requirements. The incumbent will oversee the data collection process and aggregate data for program outcomes, serve as an active participant on the Performance Quality Improvement Committee and prepare the annual budget for the Program Department and handle expenditures according to budget allocations. Responsibilities also include but not limited to supervising Site Directors, Counselors or other delegated persons, personnel performance evaluations, maintaining confidentiality, resolving staff / job related conflicts and grievances according to policy and other duties identified by management. This position is one that is part of a rotating "on-call" process which provides support to our homes and residents. Applicants must have clear driving record (no speeding tickets 15 miles or more over the speed limit), current driver license, clear criminal background, high school diploma/GED required. Position is full time and eligible for full time benefits. For over 40 years King's Home has been home to hundreds of youth, women, and children seeking refuge, hope, and help from abuse, neglect, abandonment, homelessness, and other difficult and impoverished conditions and circumstances.

Do you have a bachelor's degree in the field of social work, psychology, administration and/or related field? Do you have at least 24 months of professional experience working in family and children's services? Do you have prior experience serving in a leadership position? Do you possess strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as effective organizational and time-management skills? Are you proficient in standard computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email?
