Job Description

The Athletic Operations Graduate Assistant assists with the daily operations of the athletic department by providing administrative, logistical, and event management support for all varsity and junior varsity athletic programs. This position plays a key role in ensuring athletic events, practices, and departmental operations are conducted efficiently while gaining valuable hand-on experience in collegiate athletic administration.
Responsibilities:
Event Operations Assist with planning, setup, execution, and breakdown of all home athletic events Coordinate game-day operations, including parking and venue equipment setup Assist with crowd management and operational support during events Serve as an event manager for assigned athletic contests Management Assist in scheduling and coordinating the use of athletic facilities Ensure facilities are clean, organized, and competition ready Assist with inventory management and operational supplies Monitor storage areas to ensure organization and accountability Administrative Support Assist with athletic calendars and facility schedules Assist with creating ticketing for all home events Maintain records related to operations and key forms Provide office support for the athletic operations staff Team and Campus Support Assist with visiting team hospitality and game-day needs Support championship events, tournaments, and special athletic department functions Student Worker Supervision Assist with training, scheduling, and supervising student workers Assign game-day responsibilities and ensure staff complete assigned duties Provide leadership and mentorship to student event staff Other duties Assist with departmental projects as assigned Work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by the athletic schedule Perform other duties assigned by the
Athletic Operations Manager Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, required Acceptance into a Faulkner University graduate degree program, required Strong organizational and time-management skills, required Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, required Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Powerpoint), required Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, required Previous experience in collegiate athletics, event management, or athletic operations, preferred Experience with scheduling software and event management systems, preferred Knowledge of NCAA, NAIA, or conference rules and regulations, preferred Experience supervising student workers or volunteers, preferred
