Job Description

Job Summary The Orange County Department of Education is seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Coordinator to support History, Social Science, and Civics within the Academic Content & Instructional Support team. In this role, the Coordinator will design and deliver research-based professional learning, provide customized technical assistance to districts, and support the implementation of state standards and frameworks. The position also involves assessing district needs, organizing events and educator networks, collaborating with community and state partners, and contributing to organizational initiatives. Through these efforts, the Coordinator will help strengthen high-quality, engaging, and standards-aligned instruction across Orange County. Requirements /
Qualifications Education, Training and Experience:
Education:
Master's degree in education, education administration, history-related content, or a related field.
Experience:
Five (5) years of educational experience, including two (2) years of administrative service in a public-school setting.
Credential:
A valid California credential authorizing instruction or service in a public school program. An Administrative credential may be required for some assignments.
