The Assistant Program Director splits time between administrative program support and direct teaching responsibilities, both in theory and clinical settings.

Schedule:

Full-time, on-site in Irvine, CA. Teaching responsibilities (theory or clinical) make up approximately half of the role.

Compensation:

$125,000 per year. What You'll Do The Assistant Program Director supports the Program Director with planning, developing, managing, updating, and evaluating all aspects of the VN program, including preparing data and written materials for required state and Board reports, proposals, self-studies, surveys, and site visits. This includes identifying and securing outside resources for the program, assessing whether clinical agencies can provide experiences that meet theory and clinical course objectives, and ensuring Facility Approval Applications are completed and approved before clinical rotations begin. The role ensures student theory and clinical evaluations are completed on time by assigned faculty, and maintains evaluations from students, clinical site representatives, and faculty after each rotation. The Assistant Program Director supports strategic planning and assessment of instructional initiatives, works continuously to improve instructional quality, and ensures clinical assignments, rotation matrices, and calendars are completed on schedule. Additional responsibilities include ensuring faculty consistently follow clinical rotation policies, reviewing student learning materials on an ongoing basis, maintaining student records according to policy, submitting required program reports to the Director in a timely manner, and staying current with new technologies and safety regulations. The role also provides advising support and planning assistance to prospective students, ensures students complete all documentation and requirements for graduation and the state licensing exam, and includes teaching (theory or clinical) for approximately half of the position's time. Required Qualifications Master's degree or higher from an accredited college or university, including coursework in nursing, education, or administration Minimum of three years of experience leading a nursing program Minimum of three years of experience as full-time faculty in a pre-licensure or post-licensure nursing program Minimum of one year of experience teaching in an online teaching and learning environment Minimum of four years of continuous full-time experience as a registered nurse providing direct patient care in geriatrics, medical-surgical, mental health/psychiatric nursing, obstetrics, or pediatrics within the past five years Valid, active license issued by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work within a deadline-oriented environment Preferred Qualifications Experience with Vocational Nursing (VN) program accreditation and state Board reporting requirements Experience developing or maintaining clinical partnerships and facility approval processes Innovative, action-oriented approach to instructional improvement and program development Compensation and Benefits $125,000 per year Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) Paid time off To apply, submit your resume for consideration.
