Job Description

School Overview Justin-Siena is a co-educational independent Catholic high school sponsored by the De La Salle Christian Brothers. We serve more than 670 students from Napa, Solano, and Sonoma Counties. Our 40-acre campus is home to a college preparatory curriculum, a competitive interscholastic athletic program, a highly regarded performing arts program, and an array of co-curricular opportunities. Position Summary The Director of Lasallian Student Life is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing comprehensive spirit-filled activities which develop the Lasallian, Catholic culture of the school. This position develops, coordinates, and oversees all aspects of student life, including, but not limited to class councils, student leadership, student mentorship programming, student clubs, pep rallies, homecoming week, Founder's week, student dances, and creating opportunities for students to engage holistically in their Justin-Siena experience. This position will also be responsible for teaching up to two academic classes, as needed. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Provides strategic leadership, vision, and management for the development of a dynamic Student Life and leadership program that aligns with Justin-Siena's mission, values, and goals Responsible for the recruitment, involvement, and inclusion of JSHS students in Justin-Siena and SFNO District activities Responsible for all student life communications including school announcements and pertinent internal and external messaging to support programming Responsible for student mentorship programming (LINK crew) Supports and assists the Advisory Curriculum Committee in lesson development and implementation Coordinates the 1 La Salle/Twinning programming and fundraising activities Develops and manages the annual budgets for student life programs Develops and implements program review processes, collecting and analyzing data to assess program effectiveness and ensure alignment with short-term and long-term goals Plan and execute large-scale campus-wide traditions including but not limited to: All Special Holiday Events (i.e., Halloween, Veteran's Day, Valentine's Day) Collaborate and plan engaging events with other departments, such as Arts, Athletics, Academics, JSPA, Admissions, and Outreach Intramurals Game/Movie Nights Social Media Contests Student Club Activities All school dances including, but not limited to, the Back to School Dance (RAV), Homecoming, and Prom Homecoming Coronation, Bash, and Dance Promotes equity-minded leadership and designs, plans, and implements student life services and programs that foster an inclusive environment, address student achievement gaps, and support student growth and engagement, directly impacting student retention and success. Collaborates with campus departments, such as the International Student Program and academic departments, to provide co-curricular programming that supports community-building, wellness, and student success. Creates and promotes strategies for equitable access to leadership development, including workshops, seminars, retreats, conferences, guest speakers, and forums, in partnership with key campus stakeholders such as academic administration, the dean of students, athletics, arts, counseling, class and club moderators, service and outreach, enrollment management, and advancement. Ability to embrace, support, and enhance the mission, goals, and values of Justin-Siena A bachelor's degree and two years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience Knowledge of and ability to use MS Office and social media required. Ability to set and follow timelines and work independently Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in a caring and supportive manner Ability to interact with students, parents, alumni, and the public responsively and professionally Ability to speak, read, and write in English fluently Ability to work for long hours in a sedentary job in front of a computer Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required, with an emphasis on crafting a compelling message, developing volunteer materials, event-related marketing, and social media messaging. Experienced at providing good customer service and support, including courtesy and tact Detail oriented and skilled at maintaining organization and management of multiple projects at once and on a timeline throughout the year. Demonstrated ability to assume responsibility without direct supervision, exercise initiative and judgment; to prioritize and organize workload to complete assignments in a timely manner, and to make decisions within the scope of assigned authority. Ability to handle deadlines and stressful situations in a calm, orderly and customer service oriented manner. Ability to travel to special event locations After regular school hours and weekend work as needed Position Reports to: Principal Position hours: 10 month exempt position The salary range for this position is $75,000- $85,000 annually. Actual placement within range will be contingent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's qualifications, education, experience, internal equity and alignment with market data.
