Position Summary:
Assists with patient/resident transfers and arrivals to the facility, scheduling and ensuring a positive experience for all involved, follows up on referrals, verifies insurances and other required authorizations and general office duties.
Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent Basic knowledge of nursing home and/or business language and technology Computer skills needed to perform clinical documentation and other data entry Ability to multi-task and treat everyone at work kindly and professionally Outstanding written, verbal, organizational and time management skills Proven customer service or other professional/emotional maturity training or experience Works collaboratively and independently, following procedures and guidelines Completes tasks on time, reporting on successes, challenges, and offering solutions to problems
Responsibilities:
Reviews referrals, assisting with patients/guardians/advocates interviews to secure all necessary information and paperwork as needed for admitting to the facility Answers phones, inquiries and questions regarding the admissions process Ensures that rooms are ready for incoming patients/residents Welcomes new patients/residents - ensuring a positive experience for all involved Maintains an accurate count of available beds, updated list of all residents and their assigned rooms, reporting and providing copies as needed to requesting agencies and authorized personnel in accordance with all privacy regulations and policies Admit, transfer, and discharge residents in accordance with all regulations and company policies and procedures Reviews, updates, provides and explains admission information packets (e.g., resident rights, notice of privacy practices, admissions contract, etc.)
