KPU is seeking qualified and spiritually mature professionals to join our academic leadership team. We especially welcome pastors and ministry leaders with experience in higher education, theological education, or academic administration . Current pastors are encouraged to apply. Position Overview KPU is seeking an Academic Director and Academic Coordinator to support and strengthen the university's academic operations in Theological Studies. The Academic Director provides academic leadership, faculty coordination, program oversight, and administrative support. The Academic Coordinator assists with day-to-day academic operations, faculty and student communication, scheduling, and academic administration. These positions work closely with the Vice President, academic deans, program directors, faculty, and administrative staff to promote academic quality, faculty effectiveness, student success, and accreditation compliance . Minimum Qualifications Academic Director Master's degree or higher; doctoral degree preferred Experience in higher education, theological education, or academic administration Academic Coordinator Bachelor's degree or higher Experience in academic administration, ministry, higher education, or a related field Key Responsibilities Coordinate faculty assignments, course schedules, syllabi, and semester preparation Serve as a liaison among faculty, teaching assistants, students, and academic administration Support faculty orientation, meetings, communication, and professional development Assist with academic advising and monitor student academic progress Supervise and support teaching assistants Coordinate academic records, reports, and degree-completion tracking Support student retention, academic intervention, and successful degree completion Assist with curriculum assessment and continuous academic improvement Support ABHE and ATS accreditation documentation and compliance Maintain accurate academic documentation and institutional records Collaborate with the Registrar, Admissions, Student Services, deans, and program directors Represent KPU in academic partnerships, professional meetings, churches, and ministry organizations as assigned Ideal Candidate We are looking for a candidate who is: A committed Christian with strong spiritual maturity A pastor or experienced ministry leader preferred Experienced in higher education or theological education Organized, dependable, and detail-oriented An effective communicator and collaborative team member Passionate about faculty development and student success Familiar with academic policies, accreditation, and online learning environments Work Schedule This is a part-time, on-campus position of approximately 20-30 hours per week . The specific schedule will be determined in consultation with the Vice President based on university needs. Why Join KPU?
