A Director of Admissions leads the admissions department of a college or university. Oversees the management of applications from prospective students of the institution and directs both prospective student outreach and recruitment efforts, and the process of determining which applications to accept.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Admissions to join our team at Candlewood Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center in New Milford, Connecticut. As a critical member of our healthcare team, the Director of Admissions will be responsible for leading the admissions process, ensuring a smooth transition for our residents, and contributing to the overall success of our facility.
Responsibilities:
Lead the admissions process from initial inquiry to resident intake, ensuring a seamless and efficient process Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract new residents and drive growth Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and caregivers to assess resident needs and develop personalized care plans Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and facility policies and procedures Recruit, train, and supervise admissions staff to maintain high-quality services Monitor and analyze admission trends, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures Foster strong relationships with referral sources, community partners, and healthcare organizations Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of innovative practices
Requirements:
2+ years of experience in long-term care admissions, with a focus on geriatric populations Proven track record of success in admissions, including staff management and process improvement Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing multiple tasks and deadlines Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, and other healthcare regulations
