10/05/2026 SUMMARY This role involves collaborating with the Director of Communications to support the department's communications and video production efforts, serving as the district's liaison to the Maine Township High School Foundation, managing alumni relations and engagement, and assisting with fundraising initiatives.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Communications & Video Support Create primarily short-form videos for the district website and social media channels, taking projects from concept and filming through editing and publishing. Produce occasional long-form videos to support both district and Maine Township High School Foundation initiatives, events and campaigns. Take photos at district events for use in publications, on social media and on district/school websites. Provide a support role in writing, editing and proofreading content for news releases, website posts, newsletters, social media and other communications materials. Support the Director of Communications with the department's day-to-day communications needs, including assigned special projects. Build and update website content and pages utilizing WordPress and other platforms such as Weebly. Interact with school/department/program team members regularly to support the goals of the communications department. Manage and coordinate complex projects by utilizing workflow processing tools and project management strategies to ensure deadlines are met. Assist with crisis communications, special event coordination, implementation of new communication technologies and school-based projects. Design flyers, graphics, social media assets and other visual communications (preferred but not required). Maine Township High School Foundation Liaison Serve as the district's primary liaison to the Maine Township High School Foundation. Work closely with the Foundation President and board members to support Foundation projects and initiatives as needed. Attend the Foundation's regular board meetings, annual benefit and other meetings as needed. Help plan and run the Foundation's annual benefit, including but not limited to logistics, communications, video creation, and volunteer coordination. Alumni Relations Maintain and manage the alumni database, ensuring records are accurate, current and well organized. Serve as the primary point of contact for alumni inquiries and outreach. Work with alumni, with coordination of the schools, to plan, coordinate and support reunions, alumni tours and other alumni events. Develop strategies to grow alumni engagement and involvement with the district. Fundraising Support the Foundation's fundraising efforts for large capital projects. Help plan, implement and manage ongoing fundraising campaigns. Assist in identifying, cultivating and stewarding donors and community partners. Track fundraising activity and prepare progress reports as needed. Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by the Director of Communications to help the communications department reach its annual goals.SKILLS TO SUPPORT THESE DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Strong communication skills, both oral and written. Experience shooting and editing video (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) with a strong portfolio of short-form video content. Experience with Google applications and Microsoft Suite applications (Word, Excel, Google docs, Google sheets, Google Forms). Website building/editing skills (e.g., WordPress, Weebly or similar content management system). Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with alumni, donors, volunteers and community members. Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Experience managing a database or CRM system; alumni or donor database experience (preferred but not required). Experience in fundraising, development or nonprofit event planning (preferred but not required). Bilingual (preferred but not required).EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, public relations, marketing, event planning/hospitality/event management, nonprofit management/leadership, film/video production or related field. Two or more years of related experience (preferred but not required).WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed in an office setting with extended periods of time sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer. Regular exposure to video display terminals. 12-month (260 paid days), July 1, 2026- June 30, 2027 Salary range based on experience $50,000

As soon as possible; the salary will be prorated based on the official start date. IMRF pension- employees vested after ten years of employment.
