Quincy University is seeking a Major Gifts Officer to join our Advancement team. The Major Gifts Officer plays a key role in securing significant philanthropic investments to advance the strategic priorities of Quincy University. This position is responsible for identifying, qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major gift prospects and donors; developing a sustainable pipeline of future major gift prospects; and helping grow the University's corporate partnership program. The Major Gifts Officer manages a portfolio of individuals, corporations, and other prospective funding partners and works collaboratively with University leadership, faculty, staff, and Advancement colleagues to align donor and partner interests with institutional priorities. Responsibilities Develop and manage an active portfolio of approximately 100-150 major gift prospects and donors. Develop and implement strategies for the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of major gifts. Build strong personal relationships with prospects and donors through consistent and meaningful contact, including face-to-face meetings. Achieve established annual performance goals related to prospect qualification, donor visits, solicitations and proposals, major gift commitments, dollars raised, portfolio movement, corporate partnership development, and campaign pipeline growth. Lead the growth and development of Quincy University's corporate partnership program. Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with businesses and corporate partners whose interests align with University priorities. Collaborate with academic leaders, Athletics, Career Services, and other campus partners to develop opportunities involving philanthropic support, program sponsorships, scholarships, student internships and experiential learning, workforce development initiatives, in-kind support, and other mutually beneficial relationships. Identify planned giving opportunities and work with Advancement leadership and appropriate advisors to incorporate current, deferred, and blended gift strategies when appropriate. Work with University leadership, faculty, and staff to understand institutional priorities and develop compelling philanthropic and corporate partnership opportunities. Maintain accurate and detailed records of interactions with prospects and donors in the University's donor database and prepare regular reports on portfolio activity and progress toward fundraising goals. Assist with Office of Advancement special events and other University activities. Represent Quincy University professionally and with courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with the University community and the public. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree in a related field. Minimum of five years of experience in major or planned gift fundraising, preferably in higher education. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to understand institutional priorities and translate them into compelling philanthropic and partnership opportunities. Ability to develop and manage relationships across all levels of the University community. Ability to work successfully under pressure in a fast-paced, time-sensitive, and highly confidential environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines. General computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and data management systems. Valid driver's license.

Preferred:

Advanced degree. Previous fundraising experience in higher education. Work Schedule & Travel This position requires extensive travel and a flexible work schedule. The Major Gifts Officer must be available for donor meetings, University functions, Advancement events, and other activities that may occur outside of normal business hours, including evenings and weekends.

Salary:
