Dean, Scott College of Business Indiana State University invites nominations and applications for the position of Dean of the Scott College of Business. The Dean reports to the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs and provides strategic leadership for the Scott College of Business. The Scott College of Business enrolls 1,065 students, has 43 full-time faculty and staff, maintains a 25:1 student-to-faculty ratio, and offers 11 undergraduate and graduate degrees. The College is accredited by AACSB International, a distinction earned by only six percent of business schools worldwide. Indiana State University's business programs first achieved AACSB accreditation in 1980 and have continuously maintained this prestigious recognition for more than 40 years. The Scott College of Business was reaccredited in 2025. The successful candidate will be focused on student success, career connectedness, and a culture of care. The next Dean will advance innovative approaches to delivering programs through flexible modalities that serve 21st-century students. The Scott College of Business seeks candidates with an earned doctorate in a discipline relevant to the College's focus areas and a scholarly record qualifying them for appointment as a full professor with tenure in a department within the College. Candidates should demonstrate excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service; a successful record of academic administration, including budget management, personnel oversight, recruitment, retention, and strategic planning; and the ability to cultivate relationships across diverse disciplines to achieve forward-thinking short- and long-range goals and adapt to changing educational landscapes. The ideal candidate will also demonstrate success in fostering academic innovation to support active and inclusive learning; navigating accreditation processes and promoting continuous improvement; cultivating relationships with alumni, donors, and industry partners to secure resources for College initiatives; understanding current industry trends, professional standards, and career pathways for graduates; developing or expanding experiential learning, career-ready opportunities, and high-impact practices for students; fostering faculty research, interdisciplinary projects, and scholarly productivity; and communicating effectively with diverse constituencies within and outside the College.
