Job Description

The position is responsible for the development, implementation, and evaluation of high-quality continuing education courses to support ongoing licensure and professional development of healthcare professions. Current licensure as a health care professional in the state of Maryland required. Master's degree or higher in health care professional related field required. A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience at the college level, preferred. Experience in developing continuing education unit (CEU) for health care professionals, preferred. Collaborate with Program Directors and faculty in health care programs within the credit and continuing education divisions. Maintain currency in evidence-based practice. Maintain knowledge in CEU approval and accreditation processes. Assess and use data to create course development plans. Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all-inclusive. There will be other duties as assigned. Design, develop, and maintain a consistent course structure and format for short-term continuing education programs serving healthcare professionals. Prepare and maintain documentation required for CE approval and accreditation. Design and create a process for applying and obtaining approval for CEU credits. Ensure CE courses meet regulatory standards for continuing education credits. Assess needs of healthcare employers, alumni and professional organizations to provide focus for the development of courses. Create an evaluation process for CEU courses. Evaluate the effectiveness of the CE Program.
