Student workers are evaluated on a continuous basis.
Scope:
Provide game management for home athletic contests.
Responsibilities:
Monitor home athletic contests Responsible for athletic ball exchange on sidelines of home athletic contests Assist officials and coaches during athletic contests Assist with preparation and break-down of athletic fields, as needed Must be available to work weekends
Schedule:
4-10 hours a week Saturday & Sunday, must have availability between 9am-5pm with preference given to students available between the hours of 1-5pm. Monday-Friday, must have availability between 3pm-9pm with preference given to students available between the hours of 3pm-6pm or 6pm-9pm.
Requirements:
Current undergraduate student at McDaniel College. Strong communication skills Highly organized and detail oriented Ability to accurately assess and handle requests from coaches and officials, with discretion and a positive attitude Discretion and reliability in sensitive and confidential matters are vital
Physical Characteristics:
This position requires standing for long periods of time, as well as some walking or running. This position does have some limited lifting involved but not more than 10 pounds at a time. The overall setting of the job is on an outdoor athletic field with some exposure to adverse conditions, such as inclement weather, hot and cold weather.
