Job Title:
Academic Support Specialist (CLAS)
GENERAL SUMMARY
: To provide academic support to CMU's Fayette Campus Students. This includes but not limited to registration, transfer work and withdraws and day to day functions of the Registrar's Office pertaining to CLAS (College of Liberal Arts & Sciences) students. This is a full-time position with benefits. This position is located on the Fayette Campus.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
: Process all CMU transcript requests-35% Assist with and enter the transfer work of CLAS students-20% Assist and Process all CLAS add/drop/withdraws forms-30% Manages CLAS wait lists-5% Process electronic updated information through CARS (Campus Administration & Registration System)-5% Maintains CLAS files, filing included-5% Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
: Associates degree preferred, not required. High School Diploma, Required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to work at a computer for long periods of time, filing and periodic lifting up to 15 lbs. Must be able to stand and speak to students at a counter.
