Position Summary The primary location of this position is on-site in Cullowhee, NC. This position is designated as being subject to the State of North Carolina Human Resources Act ( SHRA). The primary purpose of this position is to coordinate and support day-to-day athletics equipment operations, with particular emphasis on protective athletic equipment, football equipment services, practice and competition support, and related student-athlete service needs. The position assists with the fitting, issuing, maintenance, inventory, preparation, transport, and recovery of athletic equipment and related supplies in accordance with established departmental procedures, University requirements, NCAA expectations, and applicable safety standards. The position works closely with coaches, student-athletes, student employees, and other Athletics staff to help ensure that equipment needs are met for practices, competitions, travel, and other team-related activities. Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position Working knowledge of athletics equipment operations, including protective equipment fitting, maintenance, inventory, storage, preparation, and distribution. Ability to work effectively with coaches, student-athletes, student employees, and Athletics staff while providing responsive service in a practice, competition, and event-based environment. Ability to organize and complete recurring equipment operations, including practice and game preparation, laundry support, equipment transport, sideline communication setup, and post-event recovery. Ability to follow NCAA, University, departmental, and safety-related procedures applicable to student-athletes, athletic equipment, equipment rooms, and team operations. Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
