Outdoor Educator
Job Description
Position Summary:
The Outdoor Educator is responsible for facilitating group activities during Education Without Walls' single-day outdoor and adventure education courses. The Outdoor Educator effectively manages risk, creates a fun and engaging learning environment, maintains logistical coordination in accordance with best practices, and leads meaningful group discussions. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supervising and evaluating students, managing risks, and establishing and maintaining a positive learning environment. Job Responsibilities Participate in pre-trip and post-trip briefings. Coordinate program logistics. Maintain the physical and emotional safety of students while serving as a positive role model. Support the creation of safe, fun, and engaging outdoor education experiences. Facilitate lessons, activities, and group discussions. Help teens achieve academic and personal goals. Qualifications Experience in youth development, education, mentoring, and advocacy. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are important.
