Fri Sep 4 2026 Primary Function The primary function of the Assistant Director of Graduate Enrollment Management is to consistently achieve institutional enrollment goals through the implementation of a comprehensive recruiting effort that is data-driven, focused on meeting student needs and utilizing proven state of the art enrollment techniques. The primary focus of the admissions team is to identify, recruit, and enroll highly qualified new graduate students three times a year. The Assistant Director assists in the supervision of six to eight graduate assistants. Position Summary In collaboration with the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management, the Assistant Director will implement and oversee strategic enrollment planning, recruitment, and application review for their assigned graduate programs and for Russell Sage College graduate programs as a whole. The Assistant Director plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity of the admissions process and supports data analysis for enrollment management across graduate programs. The individual in this position will work within a dynamic, collaborative enrollment management environment and be an integral part of the enrollment team. Some evenings and weekends are required as necessary.

Responsibilities will include:

Supervisory/Management Identify, interview, select, and train assigned graduate assistants for the Graduate Enrollment Management Office Supervise the daily performance of the graduate assistants in conjunction with the other members of the Graduate Enrollment Management team Ensure graduate assistants have appropriate assignments, managing their schedules, calendars, and weekly projects Provide appropriate feedback to graduate assistants Recruitment/Operations Travel primarily in the Capital Region with occasional travel throughout New York State representing Russell Sage College's graduate programs for college/university/business visits, special presentations and workshops, and/or graduate school fairs. Plan and participate in events for new and prospective graduate students including Open Houses, Welcome Events, Virtual Information Sessions, etc. Serve as the primary liaison between the Graduate Admissions office and assigned graduate programs, ensuring alignment of technological solutions with department-specific requirements Lead and manage projects throughout the admissions process lifecycle, from project inception through to implementation, maintenance, and analysis Work closely with the Director to implement a yearly operational recruitment plan that will meet or exceed annual recruitment goals by utilizing appropriate communication, travel, and event strategies Provide regular descriptive and evaluative reports on recruitment activities for assigned programs to the Director of Graduate Enrollment Management, meeting regularly to discuss progress toward goals. Collaborate with appropriate administrative areas including Program Directors, Registrar, Student Accounts, Financial Aid, Solutions, etc. to ensure smooth transition for new graduate students Application Evaluation Provide support and advisement for prospective graduate students informing them of career opportunities and pathways within their selected program Conduct extensive follow-up with prospects to increase conversion rates from inquiry to enrollment of the identified population Provide and extend expert customer service follow-through with applicants Collect and request application materials in the form of weekly audits with the support of graduate assistants Prepare the students' applications for faculty review. Communicate with faculty about the decisions, timelines, and deadlines. Ensure completed applications are being submitted for review and admissions decisions are being made in a timely manner for assigned graduate programs, assisting with other programs as needed The estimated salary is $62,353.20 per year for 40 hours per week for 52 weeks.

Job Requirements:

Job Requirements/Qualifications Bachelor Degree Required Preferred previous experience of adult student recruitment or a similar role such as marketing, sales, customer relationship management, or member services. Computer skills - High level of computer literacy and proficiency in database management Knowledge of Slate, Salesforce and/or Colleague a plus Ability to develop and analyze/interpret statistical reports Strong customer service skills, attention to detail, ability to operate in a high paced environment with a sense of urgency Strong oral and written communication skills are required
