This is a unique opportunity to lead a well-established, dually-accredited residency program dedicated to training compassionate, skilled, and versatile Med-Peds physicians. The Program Director will oversee all aspects of program administration, curriculum development, accreditation, faculty engagement, resident recruitment, and educational innovation. The PD will serve as a key faculty leader within both the Departments of Internal Medicine and Pediatrics, reporting to departmental chairs and the Designated Institutional Official ( DIO ).
Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic and operational leadership of the Med-Peds residency program in alignment with ACGME requirements. Design, implement, and continuously evaluate the educational curriculum and clinical training experiences. Recruit, mentor, and evaluate Med-Peds residents and core faculty. Foster a culture of inclusion, wellness, academic excellence, and continuous improvement. Collaborate with leadership from Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, affiliated hospitals, and GME office. Ensure ongoing program accreditation and regulatory compliance. Participate in scholarly activity and represent the program at regional and national levels.

Minimum Qualifications MD, DO, or equivalent degree with board certification in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Eligibility for unrestricted medical licensure in New York State. At least 3-5 years of clinical experience post-residency. Demonstrated excellence in teaching, mentoring, and leadership within graduate medical education. Familiarity with ACGME accreditation standards and requirements Preferred Qualifications Prior experience as an Associate or Assistant Program Director. Record of scholarly activity in medical education or clinical research. Experience in curriculum design, evaluation, or quality improvement initiatives.
