POSITION SUMMARY

: Provide quality, innovative online instruction including meaningful engagement with learners to successfully achieve student learning outcomes, program goals, and academic success.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

: Provide innovative, effective online instruction and meaningful engagement to support student learning outcomes and academic success; Design courses that meet curricular requirements and follow university guidelines, including Quality Matters (QM) standards; Deliver timely, constructive feedback and maintain communication with students through RSU platforms; Foster an inclusive and supportive learning environmental for diverse learners; Maintain student records and submit required reports by university deadlines; Support student with varying learning needs and notify program leadership of at-risk learners; Adhere to accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0) and FERPA regulations On Line Faculty will: Support student learning and success through positive engagement, coaching mutual respect, and professionalism in a fast-paced 8-week class format; Comply with university guidelines regarding faculty duties and requirements; Comply with the guidelines regarding the university's quality assurance program; Comply with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WGAC 2.0) including universal design language for individuals with disabilities; Provide learners with timely feedback (QM 3.5) regarding progress in coursework. This includes responding to learners within 24 hours during the week and a48 hours during the weekend; Post grades for assignments within 48-72 hours after the due date; Feedback should support continued student growth and development; Support at-risk learners by notifying the respective program coordinator, retention specialist, or associate dean.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

: Doctorate degree in nursing (PhD, DNP, DNSc, EdD); will consider a masters degree in nursing with achievement of academic credentials, progress toward academic credentials, equivalent experience, or some combination thereof; Teaching experience with LMS platforms (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard, D2L); Evidence of effective communication, scholarly writing, and ability to support student success through feedback and coaching.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

: Experience as an online learner; Demonstrated experience or certification in online instruction (QM or similar program preferred).

KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, & SKILLS

: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to motivate and support students in becoming self-directed learners; Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing confidential information with professionalism; Teaching assignments may vary based on needs.

LICENSES

: Current, unencumbered RN license and multi-state compact license required.
