Position Overview:

The Admissions Outside Reader is a part-time position that plays a key role in the selection of the College's first-year class. The Admissions Outside Reader will be trained to read admissions applications for Bryn Mawr College, and a preference will be given to candidates with experience reading applications in a highly selective college or university environment at the undergraduate level.

Position Responsibilities:

Complete in-person reader training in November. Reading and evaluating applications via an individual first and second reader process with participation in individual reconciliation meetings. Contextually review the applications of first year applicants by reviewing essays, letters of recommendation, high school transcripts, interview reports, and co-curricular participation. May perform other duties as assigned.

Schedule & Benefits:

This part-time, temporary, position has an anticipated schedule of 10-15 hours per week November 2026 - March 2027. The weekly schedule will be determined by the supervisor. This position is considered non-exempt under wage and hour laws. While no one person may possess all the qualifications listed below, the ideal candidate will have many of the following professional experiences and characteristics.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree is required. Must be able to write clearly and persuasively. Successful completion of satisfactory background checks required.

Preferred Qualifications:
