Our client, a leading private research university, is seeking an Academic Program Coordinator to join their team in Boston, MA. This is a hybrid opportunity requiring 3 days onsite and 2 days remote, offering $28.00/hour and expected to last 6+ months with potential for permanent hire. This position supports academic program operations, student services, curriculum administration, committee coordination, and departmental initiatives within a fast-paced higher education environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while serving as a key resource for students, faculty, and university leadership. Key Responsibilities Coordinate academic program operations, including course scheduling, curriculum documentation, degree records, and semester planning activities. Provide administrative support for undergraduate and graduate program committees, including meeting coordination, agenda preparation, and documentation. Serve as a primary point of contact for current students, prospective applicants, faculty, and visitors. Support visiting student and scholar administration by coordinating required documentation and related processes. Assist with student employment processes, including recruitment, onboarding, timesheet administration, and record maintenance. Collect, maintain, and analyze program data to support departmental reporting, accreditation efforts, and program reviews. Coordinate student recruitment initiatives, academic events, meetings, and other departmental programs. Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and other communications while supporting day-to-day departmental operations. Candidate Qualifications Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Higher Education or a related field preferred. 3+ years of administrative experience, preferably within a higher education, academic, or student services environment. Experience supporting academic programs, course scheduling, curriculum management, or related university operations required. Banner experience is strongly preferred. Experience working with Banner SSB and CourseLeaf is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, technology, and processes quickly. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with students, faculty, and administrators. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage confidential information.
