Position Overview:
The Regional Hub Coordinator (HC) is a key leader in advancing the Idaho STEM Ecosystem (EcosySTEM) responsible for driving regional strategy, shaping cross-sector collaboration, and leading initiatives that significantly expand access to high-quality STEM education and career-connected learning. As the lead STEM liaison in their region, the HC serves as both strategist and convener, ensuring local efforts contribute meaningfully to a cohesive and results-driven statewide organization. This role exercises a high degree of independence and strategic decision-making, reporting directly to the EcosySTEM Program Director and working closely with other Hub Coordinators, regional leadership committees, and state leadership to co-design and implement statewide goals.
Required Experience:
Three years in STEM education, community engagement, and workforce development Building and facilitating partnerships among organizations Designing, planning and implementing programs, events, and initiatives Communicating concepts to educators, policymakers, and industry professionals in written and verbal communication Working independently and collaboratively within virtual team environments
Required Education:
Bachelors Degree in education, public relations or business; four additional years of experience (for a total of seven years) may substitute for a
Bachelors Degree Required Other:
Have a valid drivers license and able to successfully pass a drivers record check Ability and willingness to travel frequently within the region and occasionally statewide; attendance at a minimum of one national conference annually is expected Must reside within the regions they coordinate
Additional Preferred:
Knowledge or experience working with the STEM Learning Ecosystems Community of Practice and other national STEM networks Experience working with grant-funded projects Proven leadership skills in managing regional initiatives and working groups Demonstrated leadership in STEM education, community engagement, and/or workforce development through more than five years of work experience Deep knowledge of the regional STEM education and workforce landscape
