The incumbent will be represented by the MEA/NEA. This position will remain open a minimum of five (5) working days. External applicants may be considered. Employee Group/Grade C-8 Job Category Clerical-Technical Work Schedule FT/Reg (40 hours) Shift/Days This is a full-time position. This position would be eligible for University approved Flexible Work Arrangement and Remote work pending successful completion of a probationary period. Pay Schedule Month Number of Hrs./Wk. 40 Position Information Position Information Minimum Qualifications High school graduation or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Four years progressively responsible office experience, including direct experience in office coordination, i.e., prioritizing work assignments, maintaining work flow to meet deadlines. Ability to compose correspondence. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Ability to effectively interact with the public, students, faculty and staff. Knowledge of proper grammar, spelling and punctuation and ability to utilize proper standard office source manuals. Experience in clerical accounting/bookkeeping. Ability to work under pressure. Desired Qualifications All Qualifications Unless otherwise required by an applicable collective bargaining agreement, all minimum, additional and desired qualifications are preferred, but qualifications, degrees, and/or experience deemed comparable and/or equivalent by Oakland University in its sole and exclusive discretion may be considered. Position Details Supports the recruitment efforts of the University through application processing and front desk coverage. Provides specialized application processing and customer service for domestic undergraduate admissions applicants, including document collection and review, record maintenance, data entry, technical accuracy and data management, collaboration with academic and enrollment management departments, and knowledge of University/department policies/procedures. Answers multi-line switchboard and provides courteous and professional customer service at all times. Responds to Undergraduate Admissions general email inquiries. Schedules and prepares records, materials, and documents for image processing to ensure secure data storage and accessibility through a computerized records management system. Processes admissions applications and ensures data integrity. Provides administrative support to the Associate Director of Undergraduate Admissions for Pcard statements and classifications. A knowledge of the admissions processes and the ability to review high school/college transcripts, as well as understanding Slate CRM, Banner SIS, and Clearinghouse data, is imperative to process admission applications. However, one must also have knowledge of University/department policies and procedures in order to process student information correctly. The ability to research and document findings for the admissions processes to run smoothly for potential students. Position Purpose To provide specialized office assistance, coordinating procedural business or service activities for a complex program area involving processing, implementing, advising on, and reporting specialized subject matter.
