Monday - Friday, 1st shift Pay Range $44.15 - $66.25 Supports the enterprise health literacy and patient education strategy by managing system-wide patient education programs, ensuring accessible, culturally appropriate, high-quality materials aligned with Advocate Health Purpose & Commitments and high reliability principles.
Major Responsibilities:
Manage the development, implementation, and optimization of enterprise patient education resources aligned with Advocate Health Purpose & Commitments and health literacy best practices. Ensure all patient-facing education content meets standards for readability, cultural/linguistic appropriateness, accessibility, accuracy, and alignment with high reliability communication expectations. Coordinate with clinical teams, Digital, Marketing/Communications, Patient Experience, Health Equity, and Compliance to standardize patient education workflows and content governance. Maintain strong vendor relationships for patient education technologies, ensuring systems function reliably and support efficient clinical workflows. Support integration of patient education into EHR workflows, digital platforms, and care pathways to enhance comprehension and engagement. Collect, analyze, and report data on patient education utilization, effectiveness, outcomes, and equity insights to inform continuous improvement. Partner with the Health Literacy Associate Director to advance system-wide education standards, governance models, and improvement initiatives. Facilitate training and capability building for staff on patient education tools, best practices, cultural competence, and communication expectations. Engage patient advisory groups and frontline clinicians to ensure patient-centered design and continuous feedback in education resources. Represent the patient education program in enterprise forums and contribute to cross-departmental initiatives supporting safety, quality, and experience. Licensure, Registration, and/or
Certification Required:
Preferred:
CHES/MCHES or related certification.
Education Required:
Bachelor's degree required; Master's in Health Education, Public Health, Nursing, or related field preferred.
Experience Required:
Typically requires 5 years' experience in patient education, health literacy, instructional design, or healthcare program management.
Preferred :
Program management experience Clinical experience MS Office tools Epic and/or Workday experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Knowledge of adult learning principles, digital education tools, health literacy, accessibility, cultural competence, and healthcare workflows.

Primarily office/remote; requires attending meetings across sites, facilitating training, and prolonged computer work.
