Department Admissions Status Full-Time Time Period 40 hours/12 months Available September 15, 2026 Description The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions plays a key role in advancing the university's strategic enrollment goals through thoughtful planning and execution. This position develops and implements data-informed recruitment strategies, both on and off campus, to meet enrollment objectives, while also overseeing and strengthening partnerships with high schools, community organizations, churches, and other key constituents that support the enrollment pipeline. Additionally, the Assistant Director cultivates a high standard of customer service throughout the entire admissions process. They ensure prospective students and their families experience clear communication, personalized guidance, and a welcoming, student-centered approach. The role includes counseling students, building relationships, and modeling service excellence across all touchpoints within the admissions funnel. Responsibilities Assist in planning and managing traditional undergraduate recruitment efforts. Develop recommended travel schedules for undergraduate Admissions Counselors, including high school visits, church visits, recruitment fairs, and conferences, in coordination with the Director. Participate in the hiring and training of undergraduate Admissions Counselors. Support the development of outreach expectations and targeted contact campaigns. Maintain a prospective student funnel from inquiry through enrollment. Contact students directly at each stage, travel to recruitment events, provide timely follow-up, and help them complete the steps needed to enroll. Maintain knowledge of the academic requirements and student learning outcomes of university programs. Communicate relevant information accurately to the CRM Administrator, Admissions Counselors, and prospective students. Advise and assist admissions leadership in matters related to the recruitment and admission of traditional undergraduate students. Perform other essential duties as assigned. Manage assigned university partnerships and serve as liaison for one or more of the following: Torchbearers, VOX, Impact 360, Dual Enrollment partners, or the Athletics Department. Serve as the acting lead for Undergraduate Admissions in the Director's absence, providing direction to the team and addressing time-sensitive operational needs. Assist with additional admissions projects, events, and operational tasks as needed, and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills in both routine and urgent situations Ability to manage time-sensitive tasks and respond effectively to urgent or high-priority situations Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail in reporting, communication, and process management Understanding of enrollment management principles, including yield strategies, funnel development, and data-informed decision making Knowledge of CRM systems and admissions data tracking tools, with ability to interpret and apply reporting metrics Knowledge of best practices in student/customer service and effective communication with various populations Strong leadership and supervisory skills, including training, coaching, and accountability of Admissions Counselors and Student Recruiters Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage travel schedules, campaigns, and multiple priorities simultaneously Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret enrollment data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations Bachelor's degree required Minimum of 3-5 years of directly related experience in undergraduate admissions, enrollment management, or recruitment.
