We are looking for someone who is passionate about early childhood education, understands quality childcare programming, and can effectively support teachers, children, families, and daily center operations. Position Summary The Program Manager will work closely with center administration to ensure that classrooms and educational programs are operating effectively, staff members are supported, and children are receiving high-quality learning experiences. This position requires a strong leader who can communicate clearly, maintain high expectations, solve problems, and help ensure that Future Leaders' policies, curriculum expectations, and program standards are consistently followed. Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily leadership and support to teachers and classroom staff
- Monitor classrooms to ensure quality instruction, supervision, safety, and classroom management
- Support implementation of curriculum, lesson plans, small-group instruction, STEAM activities, and developmentally appropriate practices
- Assist with student assessments and ensure teachers are using assessment data to guide instruction
- Review classroom documentation, anecdotal notes, lesson plans, attendance, and other required records
- Help train, coach, and provide feedback to teaching staff
- Assist with new employee orientation and ongoing professional development
- Maintain positive communication with parents and assist in resolving parent concerns
- Work collaboratively with administration, behavior support, teachers, and community partners
- Help coordinate special programs, parent events, field trips, staff activities, and center-wide events
- Ensure classrooms follow licensing requirements, center policies, health and safety procedures, and program expectations
- Assist with staff schedules, classroom coverage, and daily operational needs
- Identify areas needing improvement and develop solutions with the administrative team
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working with children, families, and staff
- Perform additional administrative and program-management responsibilities as assigned Qualifications The ideal candidate should have:
- Experience working in early childhood education, childcare, Head Start, preschool, education, or a related setting
- Previous leadership, management, supervisory, or administrative experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organization and time-management skills
- Ability to coach staff while maintaining accountability and high expectations
- Ability to multitask and make sound decisions in a fast-paced childcare environment
- Strong computer and documentation skills
- Ability to communicate professionally with families, employees, and community partners
- Knowledge of child development and developmentally appropriate practices
- A positive, professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude Education A degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field is preferred.
