Position Summary
Premier High School - Fort Worth Southside is seeking a passionate, student-centered Teacher who can provide engaging instruction while helping students make meaningful connections between their education and their future.
Our students thrive through individualized instruction, strong relationships, encouragement, and accountability. The ideal candidate is an effective educator who can meet students where they are, support academic progress, and help them develop the skills, confidence, and direction necessary for success beyond graduation.
This position will provide instruction in assigned courses while mentoring students toward academic achievement, graduation, career readiness, and successful postsecondary outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities
Instruction
Deliver engaging instruction aligned to applicable Texas TEKS and assigned course requirements.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
Incorporate practical and real-world applications into student learning.
Utilize technology to enhance instruction and student engagement.
Monitor student performance and provide intervention when students fall behind.
Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment.
Support students in successfully completing assigned coursework and applicable assessments or credentials.
Student Success
Build strong relationships with students through encouragement, consistency, and accountability.
Establish and maintain high expectations for academic performance and personal responsibility.
Help students set goals and monitor progress toward graduation.
Encourage attendance, persistence, productivity, and ownership of learning.
Mentor students as they identify their strengths, interests, and future goals.
Celebrate student growth and achievement.
College, Career & Life Readiness
Connect classroom learning to real-world applications and future opportunities.
Help students explore postsecondary education, employment, military service, entrepreneurship, and other pathways after graduation.
Reinforce professionalism, communication, teamwork, leadership, problem-solving, and workplace expectations.
Support students pursuing certifications or other credentials when applicable.
Assist with career awareness activities, guest speakers, workplace experiences, and community partnerships when opportunities are available.
Encourage students to graduate with both a diploma and a clear plan for what comes next.
Collaboration
Work collaboratively with campus administration, colleagues, families, and community partners.
Participate in PLCs, faculty meetings, and professional development.
Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress.
Collaborate with campus staff to identify and address barriers to student success.
Assist with campus events, student activities, recruitment, and other school initiatives.
Compliance
Maintain accurate attendance, grades, and required documentation.
Implement student accommodations and modifications as required.
Follow all ResponsiveEd policies and campus procedures.
Complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor's Degree
Strong instructional, communication, and organizational skills
Technology proficiency
Ability to build positive relationships with students
Commitment to academic achievement, graduation, and student success
Preferred
Valid Texas teaching certification or ability to obtain appropriate certification
Classroom teaching or instructional experience
Professional or industry experience that can enhance student learning
Experience preparing students for certifications, assessments, or postsecondary opportunities
Experience working with at-risk or alternative education students
Experience mentoring or coaching adolescents
Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Job Requirements
At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
Citizenship, residency or work visa required
