Qualifications:
College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the Para-Pro test Proficient keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills School office experience or volunteer experience (preferred) Detail oriented Ability to work within deadlines and handle interruptions Physical ability to move textbooks Valid Texas educational aide certificate
Please Note:
Additional Qualification for Title I Campus College hours for Title I campus 48 required or a score of 464 on the Para-Pro test.
Primary Purpose:
Assist the classroom teacher with instructional needs as appropriate for the grade and subject area.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain all workroom equipment, i.e., copiers, laminator, etc. Assist classroom teachers with worksheets, tests, forms, and other documents as requested. Assist as needed in the classroom, clinic, cafeteria, receptionist duties, student registration, attendance, etc. Comply with standard practices and ethical conduct toward students, instructional personnel, staff, and the administration. Maintain confidentiality of all student information. Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing; stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling.
