Job Description

The Utah Board of Higher Education (Board) is now accepting applications and nominations forthe next president of Bridgerland Technical College (BTECH). The Board and search committee have gathered input and feedback fromstudents, faculty, staff, alumni, local employers and community members through public input sessions, and online comments. That inputdirectly shaped the presidentialleadership profile , which will continue to guide the committee as it evaluates candidates. "Bridgerland Technical College ispoised for a president that has a deep understanding of the unique mission and educational model of technical colleges," said Mark Smoot,BTECH board of trustees vice chair and search committee co-chair. "We are deeply grateful to the BTECH community and our local industrypartners for helping us identify the key attributes needed for this next chapter of leadership." Bridgerland Technical College is oneof 16 public education institutions within the Utah System of Higher Education and offers market-driven technical education in the BearRiver Region. With campuses in Logan, Brigham City and Rich County, BTECH continues to expand its programs and facilities to supportchanging workforce needs. As required by Utah law, the presidential search process is being conducted under a confidential process toattract the strongest and most robust pool of candidates. The search committee will review applications, conduct interviews and recommend atleast three prioritized qualified finalists to the Utah Board of Higher Education, which will make the final selection in an open and publicmeeting. To protect the integrity of the process and the privacy of candidates, no information about applicants or finalists will be sharedpublicly. While the Board strives to name a new president as soon as possible, it is committed to taking the necessary time toidentify, evaluate and hire the best candidate for the position and its stakeholders.
