Access Associate Senior - Part Time The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia $19.50 - $33.94 hourly. As an Access Associate Senior at UVA Health, you play a critical role in ensuring patients receive seamless, compassionate entry into care across a complex and high-performing academic medical system. The Role In this high-impact position, you will serve as a trusted access expert across multiple clinical settings, supporting patient intake, registration, scheduling, and financial clearance functions. Your ability to adapt quickly,maintainaccuracy, and provide outstanding service will directly influence both patient experience and operational efficiency. On any given day, you may: Performpatient registration, insurance verification, and demographic updateswitha high levelof accuracy Coordinate and manageappointment schedulingacross a variety of specialty and primary care services Communicate directly with patients and families,providing clear guidance on processes, expectations, and next steps Collaborate with clinical teams, providers, and fellow access staff toresolve complex scheduling or registration challenges Maintain composure in afast-paced, high-volume environmentwhile prioritizing both patient care and compliance standards This role demands strong judgment, adaptability, and a patient-centered mindset, as you will be stepping into diverse workflows andcross functioningteamswhile upholding UVA Health'shigh standardsof excellence. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
Experience:
2+ years of directly relevant experience required.
Licensure:
None.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Job requires sitting for prolonged periods; Repetitive motion: (computer and mouse use). Proficient communicative skill across spoken, writing domains, adequate auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly and compose messages clearly and concisely. The pay range for this role is $19.50 - $33.94 hourly. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
