Location Norfolk, VA Type of Position Classified Type of Job Full Time EEO Category E Paraprofessionals Job Description The Coordinator for Outreach and Admission will contribute to the College's growth by (1) coordinating recruitment and admissions, including managing all tasks related to admission application (2) engaging other departments and campus units to provide prospective students with a holistic view of the comprehensive educational experience available to honors students, (3) directing communication with internal and external College stakeholders, (4) coordinating web content for the College and maintaining updated/well-designed webpages for disseminating information about the College. Type of Recruitment Knowledge, skills and abilities Considerable knowledge of effective customer service and problem resolution techniques. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to build rapport with prospects, students, and customers and to provide timely, accurate information, project management, willingness/ability to work with technology and university systems. Special licenses, registration or certification N/A Education or training N/A Level and type of experience Considerable experience in a higher education institution, non-profit, or similar in the areas of recruitment, admissions, strategic communications and marketing, or other related field. Familiarity with student information systems such as Banner and Salesforce and/or learning management tools such as Canvas.
