Job Description

Ripon College is seeking a Director of Student Support Services to champion the academic, personal, and professional growth of our students. In this pivotal role, you will lead initiatives that drive student retention, persistence, and graduation, ensuring every student has the tools to thrive in a collegiate environment.

This role combines high-touch student advocacy with strategic program management and federal grant oversight (including TRIO programs).
Key Responsibilities Holistic Student Support:
Provide academic, personal, financial, and career counseling. Develop individualized success plans, advocate for student re-entry, and assist with graduate school and scholarship applications.
Compliance & Data Management:
Oversee data collection and reporting for the U.S. Department of Education. Manage documentation for students with disabilities and collaborate with Admissions and the Registrar.
Program Leadership:
Design and implement workshops, promote program achievements across campus, and represent the college at national retention conferences.
Fiscal Oversight:
Manage the program budget and ensure strict compliance with federal grant regulations and TRIO legislation.
Qualifications Education:
Master's degree in Counseling, Student Affairs, or a related field required.
Program Experience:
5+ years working with TRIO or similar programs for disadvantaged college students.
Leadership Experience:
3+ years in staff supervision, budget management, and program evaluation.
Skills:
Proven grant-writing ability and federal regulations knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and a deep commitment to student success. Proficiency in Microsoft/Google suites; experience with Jenzabar is a plus. Strong commitment to cultural competency and serving diverse populations is a must.

Valid driver's license and ability to work occasional evenings/weekends.
