DEA Salary Schedule Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time Social Studies Teacher to join our team at Mill Creek Middle School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching middle school students and will be responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree Must possess a valid Michigan Teaching Certificate. Must hold a Teaching certification with an endorsement in (CX) or (RX). Experience teaching Middle School Social Studies preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to create engaging and effective lesson plans and educational materials. Knowledge of educational standards and best practices in teaching Social Studies. Ability to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff. Commitment to ongoing professional development and growth
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards. Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that promotes student learning and success. Assess student learning and progress through assignments, tests, and other forms of evaluation. Provide feedback to students and parents on student progress and areas for improvement. Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and effective educational experience for students. Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding educational goals and student progress Responsibility of employee to obtain and maintain all training(s), certificate(s), approval(s), etc. and provide documentation to the Human Resource office before expiration date of said document(s).
