We are looking for an educator who is passionate about languages, enjoys working with students in Grades 5- 8, and wants to be part of a collaborative, Christ-centered school community. Position Responsibilities Teach Latin to students in Grades 5-8 several times per week. Develop engaging, age-appropriate lessons that build students' language skills, vocabulary, cultural understanding, and appreciation for the classical languages. Create a positive and respectful learning environment where students are encouraged to participate and do their best. Assess student learning and communicate student progress and concerns as appropriate. Collaborate with classroom teachers and other members of the faculty to support student success. Incorporate connections between Latin, Catholicism, history, culture, literature, and other areas of learning. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, school activities, and the faith life of the school. Model professionalism, kindness, respect, and the Catholic virtues we seek to instill in our students. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, Latin, Classics, or a related field preferred. Strong knowledge of Latin. Prior teaching experience preferred. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Ability to engage and inspire students across a wide range of ages.
