Vacancy 6th Grade Orientation Teachers/Counselors (There are a maximum of 10 vacancies)

HSHS/HJHS
Grade(s): 6th
Anticipated Start Date:
August 31, 2026
Hours:
3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. + one hour of planning/prep - Not to exceed 4 hours/teacher/counselor
Stipend:
Per Collective Bargaining Agreement (from budget code 2110-150-26STC) Appropriate NYS Teaching Certification is required. The Hudson Junior/Senior High School is seeking up to 10 teachers/counselors to assist with planning and facilitating 6th grade orientation on Monday, August 31, 2026 from 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. The orientation is designed to help students transition successfully by building familiarity with the school, staff, expectations, and available support.
Job Qualifications NYS Teaching Certification Responsibilities:
Attend one (1) hour of planning/preparation prior to the orientation. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and organize orientation activities and materials. Facilitate a three (3) hour student orientation program. Lead small group discussions, tours, and transition activities. Support students in building confidence and connections as they prep
