Davies is now hiring a Long Term Social Studies Substitute Teacher!(The position will run from October 7th, 2026-November 2026, exact dates to be determined)Qualifications-RI Teacher Certification in Social Studies-Secondary teaching experience preferred-Such alternatives to the above qualifications as may be appropriate and acceptableEssential Duties/Responsibilities- Develop and implement effective instruction linked to Common Core State Standards (CCSS) or other content specific area at the secondary level that will facilitate meaningful learning in the course competencies of curriculum-Maintain student record, including grades, attendance, and performance measures that assess and improve student learning-Foster a safe and productive learning environment- Develop and implement effective teaching strategies that will allow students to master State and National standards-Perform other duties as assigned Skills & Understanding Required-Communicates and collaborates effectively with students, families, and colleagues
