A History or Social Studies Teacher teaches in the social studies fields for elementary to secondary school students. Elementary school teaching focuses on general social studies, with history overview courses starting in middle school. High school focuses on specific courses of study, such as Modern US History. Fields include history, geography, government, and current events.
2026-2027 School Year 187 Work Days | Service Calendar #10 Coaching Calendar and stipends dependent on coaching assignment. A Social Studies Certification is required. Specific coaching assignment is to be determined.
Entry Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, valid Texas Teacher Certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned. Must hold or have the ability to obtain cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate. Must hold a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or have the ability to obtain a CDL within one year of being hired. Must hold or have ability to obtain a valid Texas CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements and be able to transport students to school-related events via a multifunction school activity bus, school activity bus, or school bus.
