Job Description

Qualifications:
Must have or be eligible for Virginia licensure. History and Social Science; Middle Ed Social Studies endorsement. Dual endorsement in English as a Second Language and/or Special Education, or in any other content area, is preferred but not required.
Experience:
Experience working with middle school students. Ability to interact collaboratively with students, school staff and parents. Proficiency with technology and an understanding of instructional applications of technology. Ability and experience with a diverse population of students. Ability to be flexible, dependable and highly organized. Strong interpersonal skills.
Responsibilities:
Plan and effectively deliver the social studies curriculum. Incorporate differentiated instruction into classroom delivery. Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including technology applications to deliver instruction. Work in collaborative teacher teams to plan and use data to inform instruction. Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school staff. Participate in required school and countywide professional development.
