Temporary Duties and Responsibilities- Provides reference services at the Science and Technology Reference Desk during regular service hours. Regular service hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Reference services include assisting patrons at the Reference desk, responding to telephone and email reference inquiries, and performing other reference-related tasks.
- Library instruction and collection development for all areas of the sciences with a focus on supporting the School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene or the College of Engineering.
- Works collegially with librarians, staff, and student interns.
- Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent degree from an American Library Association (ALA) accredited program. Desirable Qualifications
- At least 6 months of reference desk experience either as a librarian or as an LIS student intern.
- Experience in a science, technical, or medical library; or, an undergraduate degree in a scientific or technical discipline; or, graduate coursework in a scientific or technical discipline.
