Staff/Administration, Library, Academic Year, Campus Based Summary Assists with campus library operations providing library reference services and instruction to students and other library patrons Essential Job Functions Serves as a liaison to academic departments to provide embedded and customized instructional support to faculty and research assistance to students Oversees the library's operations and manages patron borrowing services Prepares and presents seminars on the use of print and electronic information sources Provides general reference and scholarly research assistance to students and other library patrons regarding library resource material location and retrieval Oversees and manages the campus library's interlibrary loan system as well as the serials collection Researches industry best practices for effective library reference material management and implements practices, as appropriate Develops print and online guides to library facilities, resources and services Supervises and manages student employees, as necessary, to enhance their academic and professional development Performs other duties as assigned Required Qualifications Minimum of a master's degree Experience working in library reference services or other related experience Evening availability Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in library and information science or a related field of study Previous supervisory experience Experience providing reference in an academic environment
