Staff Full Time Job Description The Medical Librarian shall be responsible for providing reference assistance, collection development, and bibliographic instruction to the Lincoln Memorial University DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) and the Physician Assistant Studies program as well as other faculty, staff, and students as needed. This individuals primary responsibilities will be to provide library services support to the faculty, staff, and students of the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Physician Assistant Studies program on the Harrogate campus Required Qualifications ALA accredited Masters in Library Science;•ability to occasionally travel. provide reference service for residential and extended campus medical students and faculty via face-to-face, telephone, e-mail, and Web
review, maintain, and assist in developing documentation to support strategic planning and assessment processes
evaluate, collect, and discard, information resources of the Health Sciences Library
participate in faculty and student library and technology workshops
remain abreast of current or relevant professional developments
participate in departmental planning and decision-making and implementation of library and departmental policies
market the health sciences library services and the mission of LMU to the patrons of the library and the academic community at large
complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports in conjunction with the Director of Library as necessary for the operation and advancement of University programs
maintain strict confidentiality regarding library patron records and other University matters
