Unit 9 - CSUEU - Technical Support Services, Temporary, Full Time, Education Support Professionals, On-site (work in-person at business location) Position Description Job Overview The primary function of the Instructional Support Technician II is to provide comprehensive instructional support services to faculty in the teaching of chemistry and biochemistry classes. The IST II operates under the lead direction of the IST III and under the direct supervision of the Associate Dean.
Major responsibilities include:
(1) preparation of chemicals, minor equipment, and course materials for classes, (2) inventory of chemicals, solvents and supplies, (3) repair of minor equipment, (4) safe storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals, and (5) lead direction of student assistants. Position Summary Instructional Support Technician II This is a full-time, temporary, non-exempt position ending on or before April 30, 2027 Reappointment to this position is dependent upon the individual's performance as well as administrative and budgetary considerations. The university reserves the right to terminate this appointment earlier than the scheduled expiration date. Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule Anticipated Hiring Salary Amount:
$5,384 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range:
$4,595 - $6,694 per month Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected. This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year. This position is required to work in person on campus.
