Job Summary The Library Operations Department is currently seeking a Temporary Access Service Assistant to join their team of professionals.
Duties include:
Assists with check-outs, returns, and customer service questions at the circulation desk. Labels devices with barcodes and numbers for tracking purposes. Tests systems are operable before loaning to patrons. Shifts bookshelves and their contents to properly organize. Partner up with library staff in transitioning library to a new operating software. Fulfills opening/closing procedures in the library. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Desired Qualifications Ability to work well in a team environment. Knowledge of PC operations and software. Willingness to perform a variety of tasks, as needed by the department. Customer service knowledge. Experience with library management systems. Ability to take direction and work independently as needed. Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
