The Bartlett Public Library District is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Youth Services Associate. The Youth Services Associate is responsible for serving the public in the Youth Services Department by providing reference and readers' advisory, assistance with programming, and assisting patrons with various requests.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide reference and readers' advisory assistance
- Assist librarians with youth projects
- Provide instruction on the Library's digital offerings and e-sources to patrons and staff
- Participate in the operations of the Youth Services computer area
- Keep current on age-appropriate materials for youth
- Create attractive and interesting displays and bibliographies
- Stay current regarding library technology and events
- All other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or Library Technical Assistant (LTA) Certificate
- Minimum of one (1) year of customer service experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience working with children
