Job Description
Library Staff Assistant, Marlborough Public Library (Marlborough)
The Marlborough Public Library's seeking an enthusiastic, team player for a part-time (19.5 hours/week) job to join our tightknit Circulation Department. This position is part of the MMEA union and includes paid sick time and vacation. Duties include providing excellent customer service, providing positive outcomes to patron issues, checking in and out library materials including Museum Passes and Library of Things, providing assistance with printing and photocopying, answering the telephone, filling hold requests, shelving, and other related duties. The schedule includes one night a week, every third Saturday, and periodic Sundays September-May. Qualifications
A successful candidate will have a positive attitude; a desire to help people; the ability to learn new technology and adapt well to change; strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be reliable. Familiarity with Spanish, Portuguese desirable. Retail experience is a plus. Full/Part Time
