•Company Conformance Statements In the performance of their respective tasks and duties all employees are expected to conform to the following: Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers. Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments. Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other supervisors, coworkers, customers, vendors, agencies, etc. Position purpose To assist the professional staff in the operation of the library Major Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks Check and sign-in purchase orders. Stamp, barcode, and process new materials getting ready for cataloging. Spine label books and other materials. Staffing the checkout desk to assist with checkout/check-in circulation and reserve book and material requests. Assist in keeping the library neat and tidy, including re-shelving books and periodicals, inventory, straightening up and organizing. Assist students, faculty, and staff in locating library materials and retrieve requests for materials not readily available. Update LibGuides as often as needed to convey monthly information. Update bulletin board and nook areas to display library offerings. Assist students and staff with technical issues, i.e.- computers, logins, simulators, and printers, etc. Any other jobs deemed necessary for library operation by FT Professional Staff.

Education and/or Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word Ability to learn about the library system. B. Professional Skills Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing C. Reasoning Ability Ability to understand and follow directions D. Work environment and physical functions This position is in an office environment. Generally, an employee needs to be able to sit, stand, and navigate within the office area. The office equipment either individually used or shared with a department is the responsibility of all employees.
