Lake Mary, FL 32746 (Seminole County Public Schools)
Greenwood Lakes Middle School Schedule:
Starts in
September In-person, Weds & Thurs Hours:
Part-time 2x per week 6 hours per day with 30 minute unpaid lunch break, during the school day
Pay:
$29-30 per hour based on experience In this role, you will: Work as a Tutor, supporting 6th grade students in Middle School Math (up to Pre-Algebra, Algebra, and Geometry). Support students in Special Education with IEP's. Provide small group tutoring sessions to students using the provided curriculum and learning technology. Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a conducive learning environment. Adapt teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Please apply only if you meet the following criteria: Certification /
Degree:
Hold a Florida teaching credential OR a bachelor's degree with a Statement of Eligibility issued by the Florida Department of Education (ESE Certificate).
Experience:
Classroom experience teaching or supporting reading instruction. Direct experience supporting Special Education students. Experience using the Science of Reading (or a strong willingness to be trained).
Clearance & Onboarding:
Ability to meet DOJ/FBI fingerprint clearance requirements and complete fingerprinting within 48 hours of an offer. Ability to provide a negative tuberculosis (TB) test within 2 weeks of hire. Ability to provide 3 professional references.
