This engaging contract position runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, aligning with the school calendar. Youll immerse yourself in a collaborative academic environment, supporting students growth and success through quality mathematics instruction.
Qualifications:
Valid and active Louisiana DOE Teaching Certification (must be fully credentialed; Temporary Authority to Teach not accepted) Strong background in high school mathematics instruction within general education settings Confidence in classroom management and cultivating a positive, productive learning atmosphere Ability to navigate quickly through credentialing requirements, including district-level drug screening and fingerprint clearance Flexibility to adapt to different school assignments and embrace new challenges as needed
Responsibilities:
Deliver clear, age-appropriate math lessons to high school students following curriculum standards Foster critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and enthusiasm for mathematics Track student progress, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction to individual learning needs Collaborate with colleagues and administration to enhance instructional practices and support student achievement Engage with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom updates Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment
